Tile on a question mark

I don't know what to say about Tile. Which also happens to be the answer to a great many questions about Tile. Who is she? What is she? Where is she? What will happen next? I don't know.

Me, I'm Maryanne. You can find more about me and my other work at my main site, Silver Kraken.

The Tile webcomic began long ago, hosted on Comicgenesis. She in fact won the title of "Miss Comicgenesis" in the 2006 pageant. Though beginning strong, updates were sporadic over the years, and the comic came to an ungraceful end in 2011.

For posterity, I have replicated the original publish dates in the comic drop-down found on the Archive page, with the exception of comics 424-429, which were first published a year previous, and then later retconned to their current position in the archive.

Following the end of the webcomic, Tile's adventures continued in print, with six 24-page stand-alone stories in minicomic format, featuring both new and familiar characters. These are currently available for purchase individually, and will (hopefully) soon be published together into a collected volume.

Then, in September 2021, Tile returned to webcomic form! Though now, as of February 2023 updates are currently paused.

Accessibility on the website is a work-in-progress. I am in the process of expanding the comic transcripts of the original archive with panel descriptions. This is currently 28% done. For now, most transcripts' primary function is for assistance in case you can't read my handwriting, but I am working on it. If you have found the transcripts helpful or have suggestions for their improvement, please let me know:

Note that the arrow keys can be used to navigate the comic archive if you are using a keyboard.
